The region has no shortage of gastronomic possibilities of various types. Here, in a nearby area, is a small selection for travelers staying in our gîte.
The CCNomie and the Auberge de Crêtes - le Saint-Paulien in Falmignoul are within walking distance for those who like to get some fresh air before and after a good meal. Gourmets will find these tables to their liking.
Just beyond Falmignoul in the direction of Dinant, the restaurant-caterer La Planche des Saveurs (60 chaussée des Alpinistes in 5500 Anseremme – tel 082.40.10.09 – laplanchedessaveurs@hotmail.com) offers family cuisine. It is possible to obtain a cold buffet catering menu (see photo) for a minimum of 10 people, to take away or have delivered to the gîte by order at least one week in advance. Or you can order and take away the dishes that are on the restaurant's menu at the time of your stay.
On the other side of the Meuse, in Onhaye (less than 20 minutes by car), Brice and Julie welcome you to the restaurant Le Walhère Roi (11 Place Henry Collignon in 5520 Onhaye – tel 082.69.97.19 – info@le-walhere-roi.be) with local cuisine. Brice and Julie offer a 10% discount on the bill to travellers staying at the gîte La retraite du Colonel, upon presentation of their small card available in the gîte, completed with the name of the gîte and the date. Reservation required in advance.
